Data collection
A postal questionnaire asking about marriage, fertility, health and employment was sent to all cohort members.
A postal questionnaire was sent to educational administrators in further and technical educational establishments where cohort members were known to be students to ask about courses attended.
Training for data collection
Instructions are given at the head of each form.
